Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior SQL Developer with deep expertise in SQL Server and MySQL to join our data team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize complex database solutions that support our mission-critical applications and business processes. You will be responsible for writing high-performance queries, building stored procedures, and working closely with application developers and business analysts to deliver reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers for SQL Server and MySQL databases.
• Analyze data requirements and translate them into effective database structures.
• Support data modeling, normalization, and schema design for transactional and analytical systems.
• Monitor and improve database performance, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Maintain data quality, integrity, and security through audits and routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to understand application data needs and deliver efficient solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data integration pipelines.
• Perform database tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of database-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery policies and practices.
• Stay updated on the latest database technologies and propose improvements as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL) and MySQL.
• Strong proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing.
• Experience with data normalization, schema design, and database architecture best practices.
• Excellent understanding of relational database concepts, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with database administration tasks (e.g., backups, restores, security).
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and tools (e.g., SSIS, custom scripts).
• Proficiency in performance monitoring tools and techniques for SQL Server and MySQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with additional database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle) is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and reporting services (e.g., SSRS).
• Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to big data platforms and NoSQL technologies is a plus.
