Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer II to join our technology team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and monitoring solutions to support our mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cloud-native technologies, containers, orchestration, and infrastructure as code, with a proven ability to drive reliability, performance, and security across environments.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Management

Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS / Azure / GCP.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Automation & CI/CD

Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Automate provisioning, scaling, and deployments across multiple environments.

Containerization & Orchestration

Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).

Implement service mesh, ingress controllers, and workload scaling strategies.

Monitoring & Reliability

Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, or CloudWatch.

Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices including SLI/SLO/SLAs, incident management, and post-mortems.

Security & Compliance

Implement DevSecOps practices such as vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and security in pipelines.

Ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR).

Collaboration & Leadership

Mentor junior DevOps engineers and collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams.

Participate in architecture reviews, capacity planning, and technical decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles.

Strong hands-on expertise with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud services.

Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar IaC tools.

Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

Solid knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and security fundamentals.

Programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.

Preferred Skills

Experience with microservices architecture and API-driven deployments.

Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions).

Exposure to cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.

Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, or Azure DevOps Engineer are a plus.
